London, 27th, 2009 — The biggest event in the construction calendar is about to get underway in Dubai, and Mascus, the worldwide premium media of heavy machinery and transportation vehicles, is delighted to announce its presence at the event.

Mascus, the Worldwide on-line e-marketplace for heavy used machinery and used transportation vehicles, is looking forward to the forthcoming Big 5 PMV event as an opportunity to introduce new customers the benefits of selling their machinery online. The marketplace links buyers and sellers in 32 countries, operates in 33 different languages including Arabic, and is a firm believer in facilitating trade across international borders by promoting the Internet as the perfect platform for buying and selling plant machinery and used transportation equipment.

“The Big 5 event is a major showcase opportunity for us and our customers, as it will open up the lucrative Middle East market, where the global recession hasn’t had the same kind of impact that it has had on European markets,” says Tomasz Odrobinski, Marketing and Internationalization Director for Mascus. “This event is the perfect chance for our current and new customer base to benefit of borderless trade that is possible by buying and selling construction machinery through a world-wide platform such as ours,” he adds.

Trading up with the right partner
The Big 5 PMV is the Middle East’s leading event for construction plant, machinery, equipment and vehicles. Strategically located in Dubai, the Middle East’s leading trading hub, the event offers unrivalled opportunities for manufacturers and dealers of construction machinery to meet and trade over four days from 23-26 November 2009.

The event is an opportunity for construction companies, buyers and sellers across the region to trade in an international arena, and for Mascus to highlight the advantages of the Internet’s wide-reaching capability to put buyers in touch with sellers across the globe. “This is a significant event for everyone involved in the business, and really gives us the chance to promote the idea of online communication and international e-trade to a wider audience,” says Mr. Ordobinski.

A chance for buyers and sellers to meet

This is the third time that the Big 5 PMV has been staged and this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever. The new state-of-the-art exhibition hall is directly linked to The Big 5 and will be built to a technical specification to accommodate heavy plant, machinery and trucks.

Not only is The Big 5 an opportunity for buyers and sellers to exchange details, but also to expand their knowledge of the marketplace online. Mascus’s presence at the event is a major factor that links machine hardware sales with 21st Century technology and presents a unique selling platform for dealers all over the world. “We are really excited at the prospect of introducing buyers and dealers, who do not know the Mascus name to our platform and revolutionary services, and to meeting and greeting established clients from all across the world,” says Rickard Petersson.

“The Middle East is going through a boom time for construction, and isn’t afraid to try new things. We believe that Mascus’s services are ideally suited to this particular marketplace and goes hand in hand with that new approach to international trade that the Internet has opened up,” he adds.
